The book, He Died Waiting: Learning the lessons - a bereaved mother's view of mental health services by Caroline Aldridge is a call to action. It is a plea for everyone to pledge to do what they can to support the mental health of others.
This kit contains an inspirational postcard (with space to write a pledge (of action to nurture and protect the mental health of others on the back), a fabric heart, some pieces of recycled fabric, some batting, a button, and some 'He Died Waiting' ribbon. Each kit is different. Purchasers can use the contents in any way they wish to create a visual reminder of their pledge and post on social media, or to create a gift for someone. Suggestions include: a heart on a ribbon, a badge, a card, or a patch to sew onto something. Why not use the kit to create something to send to people who are in a position to influence mental health policy and practice with a note asking them to take action?
These make a perfect gift for someone who likes making things and is interested in mental health.
Please note: the images are an example and contents will vary.
If you would like to purchase multiple packs (or some ribbon on it's own), to use with students or people who use services, please do not purchase through this 'shop' but contact me directly to agree discounted costs and delivery.
